Colourtrend Paints Specifications for Painting Triboard

Colourtrend paints are an exceptional high quality paint
designed for interior or exterior use. They contain very high
resin loadings, high ultra-violet protective additives, with
sufficient biocide and mould inhibitors to provide long term
protection and durability - especially in tropical countries.
Polysilk can be used in all areas; including service rooms - as
bathrooms, washrooms, etc. The Polysilk range contain PTFE
(Teflon type) additives for exceptional scrubability and all
Colourtrend Paints can be tinted to any BS colours required.
All Triboard is generally sealed using Triseal or Triseal Bug
Free, but still requires 1 coat of Strongwall Sealer.
- All tapered joints to be stopped out. flush using Gapflex
and 75mm polypropylene tape. Allow 4-6 hours before over
painting.
- Apply 1 coat of Strongwall Sealer @ 6-8m² per litre, in colour
as required.
- Apply 1 coat of Polysilk with mohair roller or brush to all
interior walls and ceilings at 6-8 m² per litre . Allow
2-6 hours to dry, depending on ambient temperatures
- Apply second coat of Polysilk with mohair roller.
Maintaining a good wet edge, lay off one direction to achieve an
even finish in colours or white as required at 6-8m² per litre
- Polyurethane: All louvre doors, doors, door jambs,
architraves, etc. can be coated using 2 coats of Colourtrend Pure
Polyurethane at 8-10m² per litre. Surface should be sanded
and dust free before application of polyurethane.
- Preparation - Sand all floors smooth finish. Vacuum all
areas removing dust.
- Application - Apply 1 coat of Colourtrend Polyurethane at 6m²
per litre maintaining a good wet edge - lay off in one direction to
achieve an even finish.
