Autogard Rustproofing

Description:

Autogard Rustproofing is an amber coloured multi-purpose penetrating rust preventative coating providing exceptional surface wetting corrosion and adhesive properties; incorporating fast surface tack dry with excellent waterbeading characteristics.

Typical uses:

Automotive - cars, buses, trucks, boat trailers, all metal, steel surfaces.  Designed to penetrate along metal inside door panels, seams, guards, sills, chassis, etc

Application:

By conventional or airless spray - pressure pot systems, Autogard Applicatiors, or brush.  It is essential to flood inside sills and panels until surplus flows out through seams, waterways, etc.

Thinning:

Use as supplied, or thin and clean up with Tetrasolve F.D. Solvent

Coverage:

5 m² per litre at 200 microns W.F.B.

Dry Film Thickness:

160 - 180 microns

Dry Time:

Touch Dry - 60 minutes - 8 hours, depending on film thickness and ambient temperatures

Health & Safety:

Wear protective overalls, goggles and gloves.  Maintain adequate ventilation at all times.  When spraying use approved respirator with organic vapour cartridge.

Eye Contact	Flush with copious amounts of water, or dilute boric acid solution and seek immediate medical aid
Skin Contact	Wash thoroughly with soap and warm water
WARNING	Keep away from sparks and open flame.  Smoking should not be permitted in working areas.

Extremely flammable liquid - keep out of reach of children - avoid breathing vapours Contains aromatic hydrocarbon solvents.
