Caution:

While DIAMOND CLEAR provides a glass-like appearance it is essentially a plastic and as such is still prone to damage if used in high use commercial areas. This is particularly evident when the use of hot cups, plates or pots are placed on the surface without appropriate protection such as place mats or coasters. The heat from such items can heat the surface causing slight distortion.

Diamond Clear is not suitable for exterior use or interior situations where there is high incident UV.

Diamond Clear can yellow with exposure to UV light and will give a noticeable colour change over white or light coloured substrates.

Maintenance:

DIAMOND CLEAR is a quality high film build clear coating designed for bench tops, table tops, counter tops, bars et.

It can provide a very long life coating in most areas. The performance of DIAMOND CLEAR is improved if the following recommendations are adopted.

DO:

* Allow the surface to cure for at least one month before putting heavy objects (vases, TV's, etc) on it

* Use placemats, doilies, coasters under all glasses, cups, plates in the first month. Always when using hot cups of drink or hot plates.

* Use a quality furniture polish on a regular basis to reduce marking and scratching.

* Clean off spills as soon as possible.

Do Not:

Place hot cups, plates or anything directly onto the surface as permanent marking may occur.

Place heavy objects on the surface in the first month.

Allow coloured liquids to remain on surface for long periods.

Allow prolonged contact with acids such as acid based cleaners, some fruit juices.

If marking does occur the surface can be rejuvenated to its original state by cutting with # 2000 sandpaper followed by Autogard Cutting Compound.
