Ensure 7.5 mm Harditex is used and fixed vertically, overlapping all studs at 600 centres.  All joint gaps should be 4-6 mm to allow for sufficient filling compound.  Any horizontal joints must overlap nogs at 800 centres.  All nails should be minimum 0.7 x 40 mm galvanised Harditex nails fixed at 150mm centres.  (Do not use Gib-board nails.)  Hardite should be fixed on external corners and should have a tapered edge butting into a straight edge sheet with 4 mm overlap.

  3. Apply 1 coat of Flexicure 500 to all joints using a broad knife or trowel.  Embed well into joint ensuring no air entrapment.  Allow to dry.
  4. Apply second coat of Flexicure 500 and embed 75 mm Poly propylene tape into wet coat.  Trowel smooth, allow to dry.
  5.
