A Unique Process for Creating an Antique Crackle Finish
Crackle is a unique lacquer finish. Designers can achieve
old antique type appearance with a range of colours on all types of
substrates.
Manufactured from a hard lacquer polymer. Provides a low
sheen, extremely durable, hard, long lasting finish. Can be
overglazed with Colourtred Acrylic Clear if a smoother finish is
desired.
Crackle is designed for use on walls, offices, reception areas,
furniture, display stands, picture frames and pottery.

Other colours available on request. Allow minimum of 4
litres of Base Colour and crackle on all colours.
- Apply 2 coats of Base Colour as Sealer (sand if requried) then
apply 2-3 even coats of correct Base colour. Allow a minimum
of 30 minutes to dry before application of Crackle Top Coat.
Thick even Base colour provides optimum results. Refer to
Specification sheets for Sealers on Unfamiliar Substrates.
- TopCoat: Spray light, medium or heavy, depending on effect
desired. Apply 2 even coats, repeated immediately.
Maintain wet edge, spray wet on wet.

Each spray pass should be continued immediately before first
coat dries.
Allow 30 minutes for crazing to appear. Uniformity of
application will ensure optimum performance and pattern.
Overglaze if required.
Flammable Liquid 3A
Use only with adequate ventilation and appropriate Solvents,
resiration and mask. Danger: Extremely flammable liquid -
