Application Interiors
All eisting paint should be cleaned down using a diluted
solution of Chemclean Paint Cleaner and thoroughly washed off with
clean water to remove all grease, grime, etc. All loose
flakey paint must be removed and sand total area using 120 grit
sandpaper.
Any repairs should be filled using Gapflex and sanded
smooth.
All areas should be completely clean, dust free. All
repairs should be filled and flushed smooth on concrete using
Shieldpatch mixed with Resin 50 or Gapflex - on plaster, gibrock,
gibraltar board, gypsum plaster board, etc. Use Gypsum
Plaster, Gapflex or Stopping Compound. Allow to dry.
Apply 1 coat of Multiseal Sealer to all substrates -
alternatively a second coat may be neccessary on certain porous
substrates to provide improved performance. Allow to dry.
Apply 1 coat of correct Basecolour by spray application at
approximately 6-8m2 per litre coverage. It is always
important to use correct Basecolour (as the wrong colour could grin
through)
Apply Multifleck using Pressure Pot System with external spray
tip only. For improved coverage and performance a 1mm tip is
recommended. (1 1/2 mm to 2mm fluid tip can also be used for
larger fleck if required.)
For best results use, 10 to 25 lbs fluid pressure, 20 to 35lbs
air pressure and do not exceed 45 to 50 lbs air pressure, as flecks
and colour will be shattered causing colours to merge
together. They will not then match original samples.
Test trial on sample board before application to approve correct
colour.
Keep prsure Pot and Spray Gun clean at all times. Immerse
Spray Gun under water in hot conditions when not in use.
Clean each time after use with water.
Do not thin Multifleck, this would cause undesirable spray and
colour patterns.
Apply Multifleck overlapping each spray pass by 50% holding
spray gun 200-300 mm from surface and directly at surface (not
angling, otherwise damage will result).
Continue this technique ensuring all Base Colour is completely
obliterated (Base Colour or Multiseal should not grin through).
Continue finishing with this technique completing the area as
you go, this system requires only 1 coat.
Spray all angles, edges, and intricate tricky areas first, only
then proceed to spray large flat areas maintaining Spray Gun
directly at surface at approximately 10-15 inches (200 -300mm) away
from substrate for best results.
For additional protection and improved performance it is
important to apply Multiclear A & B clear glaze in Satin or
Gloss, especially on commercial heavy traffic areas including any
wet areas - bathroom, shower, toilets, locker rooms, etc. - apply 1
-2 coats of Multiclear Glaze. Use Ultraclear 500 for hard
durable finish on furniture, reception counters, floors, etc.
Multifleck will not spray through Suction Cup Guns or Airless
Spray Pumps as too higher pressures will shatter the flecks.
