Application Specifications for Flooring using compressed
Hardisheet
Ensure all sheets are fixed according to MFC instructions and
that stainless steel counter sunk screws are used. 3 -6 mm
expansion joints should be left to allow for Deckseal JC
Apply 2 coats of Aquepoxy A & B mixed equal parts (1 to 1)
by volume. Up to 25% water may be added to the first coat of
Aquepoxy a & B mixed to assist wetting out the substrate
especially in hot conditions. Allow 1 hour between coats and 6-8
hours before application of membrane.
Joints
Trowel into all joints 1 coat of DECKSEAL JC, while still wet
embed 75mm polytape, smooth out.Allow to dry for 2-6 hours then
apply second coat of DECKCOAT JC to smooth level finish. Water
should be mist sprayed onto surface to assist smoothing out and
prevent drying in hot conditions. Allow this final coat to
dry 2 - 4 hours. In some instances a third coat may be
neccessary to level joints.
Apply 4 coats of CTEM Deckcoat to total area. Use a
Blacktex Stipple roller to provide slight embossed texture.
This will also assist with Anti Skid properties. If a
smoother top coat finish is required add 10 - 15% water to 4th coat
only.
CTEM Deckcoat should definitely not be used in temperatures
below 15°C and should only be applied in hot summer months.
It is not recommended in cold winter as through dry is considerably
inhibited. Iif application temperatures are below 20°C then
apply more coats at thinner film builds to allow complete drying
between coats.
Apply at the rate of 1.2 litre per m². This should provide
a film thickness of approximately 600 microns DFT. Clean up
before dry use with clean water. Contact Special Finishes Ltd
before any application to unfamiliar substrates.
