Description:
Optiseal is a low viscosity two pack epoxy
sealer used for sealing timber, marine plywood, concrtete, cement
plaster, precast concrete panels etc
Uses:
Optiseal is ideal as a sealer coat on concrete
walls and floors befor ethe application of Aquepoxy or Armepoxy and
including all types of PU urethanes such as Ultraclear, Ultracoat,
Tufflex, Ultraflex and polyureas. It helps to bind and seal off the
concrete, this improves adhesion of all subsequent coats. It also
penetrates deep into the concrete and helps to seal off moisture to
prevent the formation of efflorescence.
OPTISEAL is used as a sealer on timber and
plywood to reduce the absorption of moisture into the timber also
to improve adhesion of primers and topcoats. Several coats can be
applied to provide an excellent moisture barrier, which will help
prevent dry rot. It can then be topcoated with two pack undercoats
and topcoat systems.
APPLICATION:
Mix OPTISEAL 1:1 by volume and blend
thoroughly. Apply to substrate by brush, roller or spray. No
thinning is necessary. Apply 1-2 coats as a concrete sealer at 3-5
m² per litre approximate coverage subject to substrate
porosity.
Apply 2-3 coats to timber at 5-10 m² per litre when using as a
sealer to reduce moisture ingress.
Overcoat after a minimum of 16 hours cure.
