Ultrabond Tile Adhesive / Coloured Grout

Description:

Ultrabond is a 2 pack high viscosity thixotropic tile adhesive and grouting compound. It provides a strong permanent waterproof bond to concrete and other surfaces, has exceptional adhesion over membrane systems especially Ultraflex and other substrates.

Uses:

Ultrabond is used to bond all types of tiles, used to fix granite and marble to all concrete surfaces, repair all types of concrete surfaces, on tile roofs, concrete floors, under Armepoxy, Floorkote systems and fibrolite decks.  it is ideal for reinforced jointing on Harditex and fibrecement where a fibreglass tape is recommended.  Ultrabond is used extensively as an adhesive for bonding all types of tiles.  It is also suitable for vertical areas as it holds tiles and granite in place.  It provides an excellent waterproof system for wet areas especially in multi story buildings where the bathroom and shower use the same floor area, prevents water travelling to the lower apartments.

Instructions for Use:

Tiles / Granite / Marble

Mix Ultrabond A & B equal parts (1 to 1) by volume until a complete even colour change is achieved.  Apply one coat using serrated spreader to prepared substrate or directly over Ultraflex using a serrated spreader also apply one light thin coat to the back surface of tiles / granite / marble or sandstone, etc, to wet out the surface then bond to substrate.  Apply pressure to align tile and to ensure good adhesion.  Allow to dry.

Grout:

Ultrabond is supplied in all grout colours as requested.  A & B should be mixed together equal parts by volume (1 to 1), apply to joints and grout areas using a plastic spreader, remove excess Ultrabond then wipe smooth using a damp cloth or apply water and smooth out using a plastic spreader.

Mixing:

Mix together equal parts (1 to 1), by volume until complete even colour change is achieved.

Sealing:

Some surfaces may require Ultraseal or Multiseal sealers on timber, plywood, use Aquepoxy over exterior concrete after etching or grinding.

Preparation:

All concrete surfaces to be cleaned / Acid etched / waterblasted clean, for interior Acid Etch then wet vac completely dry.

Number of Coats:

Spread one even layer using a serrated spreader over concrete and spread one thin layer over tiles then fix into place.

Coverage:

1 litre of Ultrabond will fix 1 square metre of tiles @ 1 mm thickness.  1 litre of Compound will fill and flush 6 lineal metres - 50 x 6mm x 6mm reinforced joint.

Dry Time:

4-10 hours.

Clean Up:

Soap and water or Special Finishes Brush Wash.
