Texturecoat

Acrylic Hi Build Texture finish in fine, medium or coarse. Suitable as a long life durable coating on most substrates to produce a flexible waterproof finish. Available in a wide range of BSS 5252 colours.

USES:
Commercial and residential application over concrete - walls, beams and columns, concrete blocks and fibre cement sheeting with joints taped or flushed using Special Finishes NZ Limited systems.

PROPERTIES:
A very flexible Hi Build Acrylic, containing granulated marble giving excellent abrasion resistance, outstanding exterior durability and water resistance. Minimal dirt retention depending on the roughness of texture and glaze finish which can be specified in varying degrees of gloss.

APPLIED:
By a Special Finishes NZ Limited Licensed Applicator by Hopper Gun - although Texturecoat can be rolled or trowelled.

PREPARATION:
Various substrates require sealing prior to application of the Texturecoat - most surfaces such as concrete, plaster and cement coatings and fibre cement sheeting should be sealed with Special Finishes NZ Limited Pigmented Acrylic Sealer. Concrete blocks are sealed with Shieldtex Block Sealer - a Hi Build Fibre filled coating. Timber should be primed prior to over-coating. Refer to
Special Finishes data sheet regarding sealers to obtain the correct recommendation.

PRODUCT DETAILS:
Texturecoat recommended coverage is 1-11⁄2 m2 per litre
Film Build - 1-3 mm depending on texture
Applied by - spray (Hopper Gun)
Thinning and clean up - water
Drying time - 1-2 hours

GLAZE COATS:
Can be over-coated in Acrylic Glaze or we recommend Ultra Glaze for extended durability. Both are available in varying degrees
of gloss. Refer to the relevant Special Finishes NZ Limited data sheets.
