Ultraclear 500 Satin

Ultraclear 500 (U.C. 500) is a two pack exterior/interior clear coating designed to overcoat Multifleck system, furniture, flooring, walls, factories and step coatings. Clear films have high quantities of ultra-violet protective additives and are tough, resilient and non-yellowing with exceptional exterior durability.

USES:
U.C. 500 system provides a very hard durable finish with high resistance to a wide range of chemicals and are particularly suited to coat over Multifleck furniture, Aquepoxy floors, Seamless Flake Flooring, interior or exterior, Glaze Coating for Hi Build Acrylic Systems, Anti-Graffiti Coating over bricks, blocks and walls, for long lasting wood finish on teak (boats) and particle board flooring, etc.

SUBSTRATE TEMPERATURES:
Do not apply below 10oC. At this temperature cure rate will be considerably reduced.

NOT RECOMMENDED:
Application to damp surfaces. Immersion in Acids, Alkalies or Solvents.

HANDLING PRECAUTIONS:
Solvent and resin fumes can be harmful and can contaminate foodstuffs. Provide and wear suitable respirator and protective clothing when spraying.
WARNING: Provide adequate ventilation at all times.
Contains Isocyanate - A complete air assisted breathing apparatus to be used when spraying.

MIXING RATIO:
By volume: Mix 50/50 equal parts Part A to Part B

SMALL QUANTITY:
Mix equal parts Part A to Part B (200 mls of each)
Important to keep correct accurate mixing ratio by volume to ensure proper curing and hardness.

APPLICATION - FOR SPRAYING:
1) Mix U.C. 500 equal parts by volume.
2) Allow to stand for 5-10 minutes induction time.
3) Add 60-100% U.C. 500 Reducer - thoroughly mix together.
4) Apply 1 even light coat - allow U.C. 500 to tack off for 10-20 minutes before further
application.
5) Then apply further coats utilising this same technique to obtain desired finish.
WARNING: Application of a thick filmbuild with coat after coat in quick succession can entrap solvent that would result in a softer film when cured.

MINIMUM APPLICATION TEMPERATURE: 10oC
INCREASE CURE:
In cold conditions addition of Activator Quickset will speed up cure times - 1-2 hours

POT LIFE:
25oC 50% relative humidity - 2 hours

DRY TIME:
25oC 50% relative humidity
Recoat - 20 minutes
Surface Dry - 4 hours
Hard Dry - 12 hours

COVERAGE RATE:
Furniture / Multifleck -                          12-20 m2 per litre
Walls -                                                 8-12 m2 per litre (1 coat minimum)
Floors -                                                4 m2 per litre (3 coats minimum)

FILM BUILD:
WET:    Walls -                                    125 microns (0.005) per coat
            Floors -                                   250 microns (0.010) per coat
DRY:     Walls -                                     50 microns (0.002) per coat
            Floors -                                    100 microns (0.004) per coat
