TETRABOND WATERBASED ETCH PRIMER

Description: Tetrabond is a single pack water based primer. It is based on a specialised acrylic polymer that provides exceptional adhesion onto non-ferrous metals such as aluminium and galvanised iron. Also suitable as a primer for timber, concrete, grp, etc.

Uses: As a primer for aluminium or galvanised iron. Particularly suitable as a primer for specialised topcoat systems such as Multifleck, Optiglo, and Thermalcoat.

Properties:
Colour – White, Grey, Red Oxide, Black (use Red and Black for Steel)
Solids Content – Approximately 50% by volume
Recommended Dry Film Thickness – 35 – 60 microns
Spreading Rate – 8 – 12 m2 / litre
Touch Dry – 20 minutes (20°c, 60% RH)
Over-coating Interval – 4 hours minimum (20°c, 60% RH) Unlimited maximum
Shelf Life – At least 18 months

Surface Preparation: New Steel – Sandblast to Sa 2 1⁄2 Previously painted steel – waterblast, then sandblast to remove all flaking and loose paint. Prime with Red Oxide or Black Tetrabond Primer.
Galvanised Steel Aluminium – Waterblast to remove all contamination. Feather back loose and flaking paint by power wire brush.

Application: Apply by brush, roller or spray. Thin only if necessary with up to 25% water. Apply one coat at 8 – 12m2 / litre.

Packaging: 1 litre, 4 litre, 10 litre, 20 litre

Caution: Do not apply Waterbased products below 10oc or if rain is expected.
Allow at least 3-4 hours drying before dewfall.

HEALTH & SAFETY: Waterbased, non toxic, non flammable. Avoid breathing spray vapour.
Although this product is Waterbased avoid excessive skin contact, wear eye protection, avoid breathing vapour and spray mist. Wash up with soap and water after use. Do not dispose product and / or washings down drain.
